Bangalore: Cartoons of Shridhar Huncha poke fun at Government policies, highlight political instability, and make social commentary more entertaining for the common man. His works are on display at the Indian Cartoon Gallery. The exhibition of 75 of his cartoons was inaugurated by G. Narayana, president of Karnataka Janapada Parishat, here on Friday. Speaking after inaugurating the exhibition, Mr. Narayana said that the State has some of the best cartoonists in India. “However, many need to be encouraged and promoted. I am saying this from experience. I have met many with exceptional talent, who only needed to be taught to focus on certain issues in a proper manner. Probably some sort of training will help these cartoonists,” he said. He called upon the youth to take up this medium.
