Bank staff observe fast

CHENNAI: Cooperative bank employees, affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Coop Bank Employees’ Federation, on Friday observed a token fast in Chennai and district headquarters in support of their demands. Federation general secretary P. Balakrishnan told reporters that their demands included payment of pension and more refinance from NABARD for agriculture operations at 2.5 per cent.
