KOCHI: Jis Varghese struck twice as Golden Threads defeated States Club 4-2 in a Group ‘B’ match of the Ernakulam District Premier Division Football League at the Maharaja’s College Ground here on Saturday.

In Group ‘A’, Mar Athanasious College (Kothamangalam) defeated St. Albert’s College (Ernakulam) 1-0 with Vinoy netting the winner at the Udyogamandal FACT Ground.
