Bindra’s response to media concerns

Chennai: Responding to the Sports Journalists Federation of India’s (SJFI) strong objection to the restrictions imposed on the media, particularly on photographers and websites, for the coverage of the DLF-Indian Premier League (IPL), I.S. Binda, a member of IPL’s Governing Council, said in a press release, “We as cricket administrators have always regarded media as a major player and a stake holder in the development of cricket in India.

“As such I am sure all media concerns will be dealt with due promptness and in spirit of mutual respect and confidence. The chairman of IPL is fully conscious of his responsibilities in this connection. I am sure a viable solution will be found through constructive discussion at the earliest.”
