Pune FC draws with ONGC

Pune: Pune FC played out a 1-1 draw with ONGC, Mumbai, in a crucial Group A second division I-League football match here on Saturday.

C. N. Henry put ONGC ahead early in the second half and the Pune side’s Emeka Hyginus equalised in the 56th minute to share the honours. The Goan team is followed by Chirag United, ONGC and Pune FC on seven, five and four points respectively. It seems the two other qualification berth from Group A for the final round in Guwahati from April 18 will go down the wire.

ONGC plays Vasco on April 8 while Chirag and Pune FC face each other next day. — PTI
