Jailani nets five for Adimas SC

Madurai: Five goals, including a hat-trick, by Jailani helped Adimas Sports Club thrash Golden Star Football Club 7-0 in the MDFA ‘C’ division league for Hi-Tech Arai Trophy here on Saturday.

The results:

‘B’ division: Bosco XI 1 (Karthick) bt MSSWB College 0; Railway Institute 0 drew with Thiagarajar College of Engg. 0; High Court FC 5 (Leoni, Jeyaraj 2, Sethumathavan 2) bt Pandyan Saraswathy Yadava College 0.

‘C’ division: Adimas SC 7 (Jailani 5, including hat-trick, Abu, Praveen) bt Golden Star FC 0; Muthu memorial FC 2 ((Gopal, Parthiban) bt Olympian FC 0.

Rajini FC posts win

Rajini Football Club (Palaiyur) beat Chidambaram Memorial Football Club 2-0 in the Sivagangai DFA ‘B’ division league at Karaikudi on Saturday.

The results: Rajini FC 2 (Siva, Jegan) bt Chidambaram memorial FC 0; Vivekanada FC 0 drew with Winners Sports Club (Vairavapuram) 0; Friends FC (Kandanur) 0 drew with Rajini FC 0.

Rajesh sparkles

An unbeaten 83 by D. Rajesh and his 98-run second-wicket partnership with S. Ramkumar (51) helped defending champion GTN Arts College defeat Gandhigram Rural Institute by 24 runs and enter the final of the Dindigul District inter-collegiate cricket league for RVS Trophy at Dindigul on Saturday.
