I don’t want to rush things: Kartik
Bangalore: Left-arm spinner Murali Kartik expressed optimism over his progress from a left ankle injury.
“I am feeling much better and obviously I am hoping that I will be fit in time for the third Test (at Kanpur from April 11) and that’s why I am here. Of course I don’t want to rush things,” said Kartik.
The left-arm spinner reported to the National Cricket Academy on Saturday afternoon and his fitness levels were monitored by strengthening and conditioning coach Paul Chapman and physio Vaibhav Daga.
Meanwhile, Ishant Sharma, V.R.V. Singh, Joginder Sharma and Uttar Pradesh medium-pacer Sudeep Tyagi continued their fitness assessment and training schedules at the academy. Ishant is expected to be here till Monday. — Principal Correspondent
