Top award for SCR

HYDERABAD: South Central Railway added another feather in its cap when it won the prestigious Pt. Govind Vallabh Pant Shield as announced by the Ministry of Railways on Saturday.

The award is in recognition of the performance of the zone for the year 2006-07. The zone is receiving it after a gap of nine years and it will be the first zonal railways to get this shield after reorganisation of Indian Railways.

General Manager of South Central Railway H.K.Padhee will receive the shield from Minister of Railways Lalu Prasad during the Railway Week celebrations of Indian Railways to be held on April 16 at Mumbai.
