Yuki, Rashmi to lead Indian challenge

NEW DELHI: Yuki Bhambri and Rashmi Teltumbde will spearhead the Indian challenge in the boys and girls sections respectively in the junior Davis Cup and Fed Cup under-16 tennis competitions.

The junior Davis Cup Asia-Oceania qualifying event is scheduled to be held at the R.K. Khanna Stadium from April 28 to May 3.

The junior Fed Cup will be played in Bangkok from May 5 to 10. Meanwhile, it was decided to retain the team for the Asian group ‘I’ under-14 championships for the World Junior Cup to be held at Shenzhen, Chin. The boys’ event will be from April 14 to 20, and the girls from April 21 to 27.

The teams: Under-16 boys: Yuki Bhambri, Samip Mehta, Saurabh Singh. Coach: Kawaljeet Singh.

Under-16 girls: Rashmi Teltumbde, Rishika Sunkara, Ratnika Batra. Coach: Radhika Tulpule.
