Madras Blues enters semifinals

CHENNAI: Madras Blues (Chennai) defeated New Guptha (Dindigul) 2-1 in a Pool ‘A’ match to enter the semifinals of the SDAT-TNHA State-level hockey tournament for the Champions Cup at the YMCA College of Physical Education, here on Saturday.

Durand Antony and Radhakrishnan converted for Madras Blues, while Premkumar scored for New Guptha.

Basketball coaching

The Professional Basketball Academy, in association with the Madras Coastal Round Table 162, will organise a summer coaching camps for boys and girls at the Union Christian School, Chetpet and Spartan School, Mogappair.

The camp at Spartan School will commence on April 12 and at Union Christian on April 15.

Hindustan College of Engineering and COSCO have come forward to support the camp.

Former Indian captain Mathew Sathyababu will be in charge of the camp.

Summer coaching camp

PEDHAS, Department of Physical Education, Madras Christian College, will organise a summer coaching camp for under-16 boys in athletics, cricket and football from April 25 to May 25.
