‘Shoba Yatra’ taken out

Sirsi: Thousands of people witnessed “Shoba Yatra” as part of Ugadi celebrations here on Sunday.

It started from Raghavendra Math and passed through thoroughfares of the town before culminating at Sri Marigudi temple. As many as 15 tableaux depicting historical and religious events were part of the procession in which cultural troupes also participated.

Later, Gangadharendra Saraswati of Sonda Swarnalli Math delivered a discourse. “Panchanga shravana” programme was held.
