Paragliding championship

Kattappana: The third international paragliding championship will be held at Vagamon in Idukki district on Monday.

Nearly 50 gliding pilots will participate in the championship being organised by the Kerala Tourism Department in association with Adventure Sports and Sustainable Tourism Academy.

As part of the programme, Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will inaugurate a seminar on ‘Adventure Tourism - Challenges and Opportunities’ at 10.30 a.m. at the Labour India International School. Glider pilots from France, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, Thailand, England and Nepal will be participating in the championship.
