Bangalore: Jaya Kumar’s 105 guided Karnataka State Forest Sports Board (KSFSB) to a five-wicket victory over Air-India SC in a KSCA Group II, second division league quarter-final cricket match here recently. Air-India SC scored 289 for six in 50 overs with Viraj Zagde top-scoring with 111. KSFSB surpassed the score in 42.2 overs. The scores: Quarterfinals: Air-India SC 289 for six in 50 overs (Viraj Zagde 111, D. Makasare 57) lost to Karnataka State Forest SB 290 for five in 42.2 overs (Jaya Kumar 105, Srinath 58 n.o., Ananth 50, Harish 40); SBI 213 for six in 50 overs (Manoj Turakhia 51) lost to EPF RC 215 for four in 42.3 overs (Subramanya Raju 86 n.o., A. Vijaya Bank beats HASCVijaya Bank defeated HASC 42-21 in a State ‘A’ division basketball league match at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium courts here late on Saturday. BUFC will play BHEL (EPD) and RWF will meet Government Press for places in the final. Kotilingam passes awayFormer State football player R. Kotilingam, 56, passed away here on Sunday. Kotilingam, played for the State in 1975 and 1976 besides turning out for LRDE in the local league. Kotilingam is survived by his wife and a daughter.
