PSNA College lifts RVS Trophy

Dindigul: PSNA College of Engineering and Technology lifted the RVS Trophy defeating GTN Arts College by eight wickets in the final of the Dindigul District inter-collegiate cricket league organised by DDCA here on Sunday.

The scores: GTN Arts College 50 in 18.4 overs (S. Uma Maheswaran three for six, A. Thennarasu three for 12, R. Karthick three for eight) lost to PSNA College of Engg. and Tech. 51 for two in 7.4 overs (S. Ramesh 30 n.o.).

Wakfboard posts win

MSS Wakfboard College beat Railway Institute 2-0 in the Madurai DFA ‘B’ division league for Hi-Tech Arai Trophy at Madurai on Sunday.

Palani scores

A 14th minute strike by K. Palani helped Black Friends FC, Kottaiyur defeat Amaravathi Pudur Football Club 1-0 in the Sivagangai District Football Association ‘A’ division league at Karaikudi on Sunday.

Easy for KLN CE

Host KLN College of Engineering beat KLN College of Information Technology by six wickets in the inaugural match of the second annual State-level inter-engineering college Twenty20 cricket tournament for KLN Krishnan memorial Trophy at Pottapalayam.

The scores: KLN CIT 89 for nine in 20 overs (Akram Essa two for eight, Vijay Kumar two for two) lost to KLN CE 90 for four in 14 overs (Vijay Anand 33 n.o., Raj Bharath two for 23).
