Majestic Kits scrapes through

MADURAI: Majestic Kits Cricket Club carved out a two-wicket victory over Concord Cricket Club in the Canara-Bank MDCA ‘B’ division league at Madurai on Sunday.

The scores (‘B’ division): Majestic Kits CC 142 in 29.2 overs bt Supersonic Concord CC 95 for eight in 30 overs.

‘C’ division: Majestic Toddless CC 62 in 24 overs lost to Olympus CC 65 for two in 13.4 overs (Pandi 40).

Chess tournament

Virudhunagar Chess Association, in association with Virudhunagar District Chess Association, will organise the Virudhunagar District open chess championship at Virudhunagar on April 12 and 13.

The championship is open to residents of Tamil Nadu in men, women, boys and girls categories. The total prize money involved will be Rs. 11,000.

Coaching camp

The SDAT Ellis Table Tennis coaching Academy will organise the 14th annual State-level summer table tennis coaching camp at VKK Playgroup School, Madurai from April 14 to 30.
