Goud to tour Telangana

HYDERABAD: With political parties getting into election mode, senior Telugu Desam leader T. Devender Goud is all set to acquire a specially-made ‘ratham’ for undertaking an extensive tour of Telangana in the near future.

The ‘ratham’, which will be fitted with a mike and lighting system, is being assembled in New Delhi.

Mr. Goud told The Hindu that he decided to have a ‘ratham’ since erecting a dais and arranging other paraphernalia for addressing a public meeting each time was turning out to be an expensive affair.

Besides, it would come in handy to address a crowd of around 20,000.

Stating that it was his duty to ‘educate’ and ‘guide’ people as there was lot of ‘political confusion’, the TDLP deputy floor leader said he would tour the entire Telangana.

Mr. Goud sought to downplay the importance of the meeting attended by senior Telangana leaders of the party at his residence on Saturday night saying, “There is nothing special about it.”
