CHENNAI: Chennai Customs began its campaign in style beating new comer to the Chennai Football Association senior division league, Don Bosco Annai Youth 4-1 in the inaugural match of the Deccan Chronicle tournament at the Nehru Stadium on Sunday. Annai Youth resisted well for the better part of the first half before Senthil found the mark in the 25th minute. However, Sakthivel found the equaliser in 38th minute. Taking controlFrom then on the seasoned team changed gears. A. Samuel made it 2-1 in the 39th minute and thereafter Senthil added one more (50th minute) and Jayakumar completed the tally in the 67th. For his good show, Senthil was adjudged man of the match and received a cash award of Rs. 1000.
