Suspect in theft cases arrested

Thiruvananthapuram: The police have arrested a 14-year-old suspected to be responsible for the thieving of money from offerings boxes placed in various places of worship in the city. The suspect was produced before the special court dealing with juveniles in conflict with law.

Circle Inspector, Fort, Harikumar and Sub Inspector Suresh V. Nair made the arrests.

The police said the juvenile was responsible for the theft of offerings boxes in front of the Sreekanteswaram and Attukal temples.

He has been sent to the special home for juveniles at Poojappura.
