There are craft and painting activities among others at Bal Bhavan Sneha Sethu is having a three-day camp on folk songs and folk art Bangalore: Bal Bhavan Society, Cubbon Park, Bangalore, will organise summer camps at 20 centres in and around the city. The camp for children in the age group of 5 to 16 will begin on April 16 and end on May 15. Creative and performing activities such as craft, painting, clay modelling, yoga, aero-ship modelling, theatre workshop, karate and keyboard will be taught. YMCA campThe Youth Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), Bangalore, will organise a summer camp from April 14 to May 14 at the Central YMCA and at its branches in the city. The events include cricket, swimming, shuttle badminton, lawn tennis, football, basketball, karate, computers, Western dance, fun-creative workshop, cooking, personality development, athletics and adventure sports. Classes will be held from Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Children will have the option to choose activities according to the allotted timings. Apart from coaching, children will get a free T-shirt, camp diary, which contains information on various games and sports, and a participation certificate. There will also be events such as quiz competition and talents day and a special programme, “parent-child dialogue”.
