Collector warns against misleading people

Money being demanded to apply for free house sites
|
NAMAKKAL: The district administration will initiate stern action against persons if they are found misleading those seeking free house sites from the government, Collector G. Sundaramurthi cautioned.
It was brought to the notice of the administration that a few persons were misleading the people and demanding money from them to apply for free house sites.
The Collector appealed to the people seeking free house sites to directly approach the district backward class and minorities welfare department to submit their petitions.
Completed
The administration had completed distribution of free house sites to selected beneficiaries for the fiscal 2007-08. Lands would be acquired to provide free sites for the current fiscal only after getting approval from the government.
