Two held for assaulting a man

VANIYAMBADI: The Vaniyambadi town police have arrested two persons including a woman for attacking a person over a property issue near here on Monday.
Police said Santhakumar, Sakthikumar and Ravikumar all belonging to the Vaniyambadi town were brothers. Ravikumar was stated to be an accused and that many cases pertaining to him were pending in the police station. Ravikumar was upset with his brothers over separation of their family property.
He along with one of his friends Venkatesan and his wife Sudha went to Santhakumar’s house and got into a fight over the property issue. As Santhakumar and Sakthikumar, both living in the same house refused to succumb to the pressure, Ravikumar along with his wife and friend attacked Sakthikumar with a wooden log. Sakthikumar’s hand was broken. He was then immediately admitted to the Vaniyambadi Government Hospital for treatment.
A complaint was lodged with the Vaniyambadi town police. Based on the complaint Venkatesan and Sudha were arrested. Ravikumar was stated to be absconding.
