Firing: constable dismissed

Kakinada: The condition of one of the compounders of Government General Hospital (GGH), B Prasad who was shot at allegedly by a police constable PV Ramana on Saturday, continues to be critical. Meanwhile, SP Y Nagi Reddy dismissed the constable PV Ramana on Sunday while cases have been booked under Sec. 27 and 307 of Indian Penal Code and Arms Act. GGH Superintendent M Surya Kumari had, in a press release, statedthe constable PV Ramana was drunken and he picked upconfrontation withhospital staff when they objected to his lying on a bed meant for patients.
