Students bag prizes in various contests

PUDUCHERRY: Student-winners of St. Patrick’s School here were presented prizes in various competitions.

On April 5, the last working day of the academic year, Principal R. Fredrick gave away prizes to the winners.

R. Sreeram won the gold medal in the State Judo Championship. Karthik Arvind won the second prize of Rs.300 at the regional level at the All India on-the-spot Camel Colour Contest. S. Niranjana won the consolation prize of Rs.200 at the national-level competition. Jaya Ranganathan, S. Janani, Shreya Agarwal and Vivian Anto won consolation prizes at the regional-level contest.

K. Karthik Arvind (Standard VIII), V. Vaishak (Standard VI) and H. Eresh Parasha, received certificates for the best entries in the State-level painting contest organised by Art Land Child Art Centre. V. Praveen Kumar (Standard VII), J. Aravindha Meena and K. Karthik Arvind (Standard VIII) bagged the gold medal at the Avantika painting competition. The school gave prizes to students who achieved 100 per cent attendance.
