PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry Adi Dravidar Development Corporation Limited (PADCO) will select 10 young Hindu Adi Dravidar women to undergo a year’s training in Chennai to prepare them for careers as air hostesses. The corporation in a release said the move was aimed to create employment opportunities for Adi Dravidar young women in the UT. Those selected will be trained at the AHA Air Hostess Academy in Chennai. Candidates should be in the 18-24 age group, over 157 cm tall. EligibilityThey should have passed at least the higher secondary school examination, the release said. Those who are fluent in English would be preferred. Candidates should bring to the walk-in interview the originals as well as attested photocopies of their mark sheets, nativity and community certificates, school/college transfer certificate, ration card and income certificate, as also passport size photographs. The corporation would provide the selected candidates arrangements including accommodation, food, uniform, course fee and monthly incentive of Rs. 750. The interview will be on the PADCO premises at No. 5 Mettu Street, Kuvayarpalayam.
