PUDUCHERRY: Activists of the Communist Party of India (CPI) courted arrest after staging a road roko on Monday to protest against inadequate basic amenities including roads at T.V. Nagar. According to the party sources, T.V. Nagar main road and a number of approach roads had not been re-laid for around 30 years. The drinking water pipelines were old, and as a result the quality of water supplied was bad. They also demanded construction of a community hall in the area. The protest was led by municipal councillor S. Rajalakshmi near Ajantha Theatre signal. — Staff Reporter
