Apex Court dismisses Brics’ appeal

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed stock broker Brics Securities’ appeal challenging a SEBI order that held it guilty of breach of code of conduct while dealing in the shares of Reliance Industries (RIL). A bench headed by Justice S. H. Kapadia dismissed the petition after SEBI counsel Pratap Venugopal said penalty was imposed on the broker as it had failed to exercise due care and diligence during trading.
