Ration dealers’ protest

Thiruvananthapuram: Members of the All-India Ration Dealers’ Association closed down their shops, took out marches to Union government offices and organised dharns in front of them all over the State on Monday in protest against the cut in Kerala’s ration quota of foodgrains by the Centre. Association national general secretary Babychen Mukkadan extended the organisation’s support to the nation-wide agitation being launched by the Left Front and other organisations on April 16 demanding the strengthening of the public distribution system. — Special Correspondent
