Festive mood: The students of Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra, Thanisandra, celebrating Holi. BANGALORE: Sudarshan Vidya Mandir, Jayanagar, bid goodbye to the students of Class X at the graduation ceremony held recently at its Banneraghatta Road campus. It was a significant milestone for the students. The ceremony which was witnessed by parents, teachers and invitees began with the graduating students marching in. Mahapara Ali, Chief General Manager of the State Bank of India, was the chief guest. In her address, she appreciated the values inculcated in the students, which was reflected in their farewell speeches. “Dream high, dream big and dream nobly,” she advised the students. Ms. Ali told the students to pursue excellence in whatever they did and to practice the right values during difficult times. She said that they had a crucial role to play in the progress of the nation and told the students to be committed to this responsibility. Ms. Hemaa told the graduating students that the discipline they chose was not important to progress in life but the commitment and sincerity towards achieving the goal made all the difference. Ms. Ali handed over letters of appreciation to the deserving students, while Ms. Hemaa gave away special prizes. Annual dayIndiranagar Nursery and Primary School celebrated its annual day recently. Deputy Director of Public Instruction (Bangalore North) S.K. Channabasappa was the chief guest. He distributed prizes to meritorious students. Supreme Court advocate and old student Brijesh Kalappa was the guest of honour. K. Raveendran Pillai, president of the institution was present. Later, the children presented a colourful cultural programme. Holi celebrationThe students of Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra, Thanisandra, celebrated Holi at their school campus. They formed pyramids and broke pots filled with water and colours. Then they smeared colours on one another. Nandini, a teacher at the kendra spoke on the significance of the festival of colours.
