Veeramani congratulates Karunanidhi

CHENNAI: Dravidar Kazhagam president K.Veeramani has congratulated Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi for his decision on the Hogenakkal issue.

In a statement here on Monday, Mr.Veeramani said by taking such a bold stand the Chief Minister had shown his statesmanship and his concern for maintaining good neighbourly relations with other States. He had also negated the evil designs of some politicians, who tried to incite passions.

Mr. Karunanidhi also made it clear that State had only postponed the scheme and not given it up, Mr. Veeramani pointed out.
