CPI (M) leaders call on Chief Minister
CHENNAI: CPI (M) State secretary N. Varadharajan and Rajya Sabha member T.K. Rengarajan on Monday called on Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram residence.
They brought to the attention of the Chief Minister the demands of noon-meal scheme workers and the problems in the Housing Board.
Besides raising the issue of price rise, they also urged the Chief Minister to ensure distribution of cooking oil and pulses through fair price shops. The Chief Minister promised to look into the demands, a CPI (M) press release stated. — Special Correspondent
