Suresh Kalmadi honoured

NEW DELHI: The President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), Suresh Kalmadi, was honoured with the ANOC award at a ceremony in Beijing on Monday.

The award was received from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) President, Jacques Rogge, and ANOC President, Mario Vasquez Rana, by a representative of the Indian delegation in the absence of Mr. Kalmadi.

The occasion was the General Assembly meeting of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC).

Mr. Kalmadi was honoured for his contribution to the Olympic movement in India. — Special Correspondent
