VIZIANAGARAM: Minister for Housing Botcha Sartyanarayana has said that all the left-out eligible people in the first and second phases of Indiramma programme in the State would be covered in the next 10 days. At a review meeting with officials at ZP Conference Hall here on Tuesday, Mr. Satyanarayana said some21,000 eligible people had represented for houses in the first phase and 21,000 people for pensions. In the second phase, he said, verification of the eligible for houses and 41,000 for pensions was going on. He said misuse of the programme was controlled after the data were fed online. The supply of cement to beneficiaries too was streamlined online. He said none would be left to claim houses and pensions at a later stage in the State. With regard to Rs. 2-a-kg rice scheme being launched on Wednesday, the Minister reviewed arrangements made with the District Supply Officer. He said to avoid crowding at FP shops the supply period should be extended till the last day of every month instead of from 9th to 15th. The DSO said 5.87 lakh white ration cardholders would get the benefit.
