DAVANGERE: The Honnali Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers’ conference has been scheduled for Sunday. Senior leaders such as B.S. Yeddyurappa, H.N. Ananth Kumar, D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Jagadish Shettar, D.H. Shankaramurthy and K.S. Eshwarappa are expected to take part. The conference, which was earlier scheduled for April 1, was cancelled following a clash between BJP and Congress workers the previous day. Several cars were damaged as a result. The authorities had imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144, and the BJP had to call off the event. The former MLA Renukacharya told presspersons here on Tuesday that over 20,000 BJP workers would take part in the conference.
