Kerosene allotment sought

Thiruvananthapuram: The Swatantra Matsya Thozhilali Federation has urged the government to start distributing kerosene for fishing boats under the new permits from April itself as the second inspection of the outboard engines has been completed. Federation State president T. Peter said here on Tuesday that only 145 litres of kerosene was being given for engines which had permits for 500 litres. He also called upon the Fisheries Minister to ensure that all eligible fishworkers were given kerosene permits. — Special Correspondent
