Vital link: R. Sudalaikannan, Ariyalur Collector, interacting with Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi from the CSS in Keelapazhur on Tuesday. ARIYALUR: With the commissioning of the Common Service Centre (CSS) at Keelapazhur village near Ariyalur on Tuesday by the Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi from Chennai, technology has been brought to the doorsteps of the villagers. The residents will henceforth be able to utilise the facility of STPI (Software Technology Parks of India) for booking train tickets, paying electricity bills, and interact with various departments of the district administration without having to move out of the village. In a video-interaction with the Chief Minister, the Collector, R. Sudalaikannan, expressed gratitude on behalf of the district for choosing the village as part of the Rs.300- crore project under the 11th Plan implemented by the Union Ministry of Communications and IT in Tamil Nadu. Flanked by the Union Minister for Communications and IT A. Raja, the Chief Minister also interacted with the president of Keelapazhur panchayat Shoba Karthick. The Collector was accompanied by S. John Britto and S. Pitchiah of the National Informatics Centre while interacting with the Chief Minister. PerambalurIn Perambalur district, the facility was commissioned at Senai village. The Collector, Anil Meshram, and the president of the Senai Panchayat, P. Muthusamy, interacted with the Chief Minister.
