Co-optex team for Hong Kong fair

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Having exported hometex products worth Rs 4.5 crore in the last fiscal, Co-optex is concentrating on the Far Eastern markets to double the sales revenue within the next few years. As a first step in this direction, Co-optex is taking part in Asia’s biggest houseware event titled ‘Hongkong Houseware Fair’ in Hong Kong from April 21-24. A two member team will leave for Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wanchai to take part in the 23rd edition. “Over the years, we had been taking part in the Frankfurt Heimtextil Fair and had gained some international exposure. We are now looking at the Far Eastern countries. We have been looking at greener pastures, since it is difficult to increase the market share of hometex products in a shorter duration,” M.P. Nirmala, Co-optex Managing Director and Special Officer, told The Hindu.
