Walkathon for a cause
Special Correspondent
Bangalore: Students of the M.P. Birla Institute of Management are starting their annual management festival with a touch of charity. The annual fest, “Paradigm, 2008,” will open on April 10 with a walkathon, the proceeds of which will go to three non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working for the cause of the deprived — the Gandhi Old Age Home, the Mathrushree Manovikasa Kendra and the Garwale School. The walkathon will start from the institute (on the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan premises on Race Course Road) at 4 p.m. and culminate near the Vidhana Soudha.
Nithesh P., a student, said that the institute had been organising walkathons for charity since 2004.
Those who want to join the walkathon can call 9886377214 or 9886600389.
