Kartik completes rehabilitation programme
Bangalore: Left-arm spinner Murali Kartik completed his five-day rehabilitation programme at the National Cricket Academy here on Wednesday.
Kartik, recovering from a left ankle injury that ruled him out of the current Test series against South Africa, has made steady progress with strengthening and conditioning coach Paul Chapman and physio Vaibhav Daga keeping a close watch. Kartik is part of the Kolkata’s Knight Riders squad in the Indian Premier League.
Meanwhile, Joginder Sharma, who is also training at the academy, will leave on Thursday while V.R.V. Singh and Uttar Pradesh seamer Sudeep Tyagi will stay on for a few more days. — Principal Correspondent
