No ticket for 15 ex-MLAs

BANGALORE: A senior Bharatiya Janata Party functionary told The Hindu that the party has decided against giving ticket to about 15 to 20 MLAs who had been elected in 2004. As many as 79 persons had been elected on the BJP ticket in the previous Assembly elections.

The former legislators who are being left out include those who had identified themselves with meetings of other parties and those who are unlikely to be successful if fielded again, sources said.
