Lee to assess conditions at Mohali

Melbourne: Australian speedster Brett Lee will use his Indian Premier League stint for Kings XI Punjab to assess conditions at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, where Ricky Ponting’s team will play a Test match during its tour of India later this year.

“I’ll be playing three games at the Mohali stadium and I’ll be doing as much as I can for the Punjab side,” Lee said.

“But while I’m doing that, I’ll be keeping an eye on the way the wicket plays and the different angles to bowl for when we get the chance to go there and play against India. So it’s a win-win case for everyone,” he was quoted in The Age on Wednesday. — PTI
