We kept inflation under check: Rajnath

PATNA: Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh on Wednesday demanded a white paper from the Centre on high inflation, “which has thrown life into disarray.” The United Progressive Alliance government would not dare to do so as it would “expose it and its corrupt practices,” he said.
Addressing a party rally, Mr. Singh said the repeated increase in prices of diesel and petrol affected the common man most. He claimed that inflation was under check under the National Democratic Alliance government.On the charge against the BJP in the Kandahar crisis, he said the decision to release terrorists in exchange for the plane passengers was an emergent one taken under pressure exerted by the Congress. “The action was in the national interest and involved no personal interest.”
Mr. Singh alleged that it was the Congress which compromised with terrorism.
