CHANDIGARH: The chain fast by teachers and students of Panjab University here seeking Central university status entered its third day on Wednesday. Panjab University Teachers Association Secretary Manjit Singh said three teachers and two students sat on fast on Wednesday. He asserted that with every passing day the agitation was gathering momentum and some prominent teacher leaders of the Punjab and Chandigarh College Teachers’ Union had come forward to extend their support.
