Varanasi: Employees of a Tehsil office in Chandauli district on Wednesday tried to beat up the Tehsildar after allegations by a woman employee that he attempted to molest her. The woman, a peon in the Chakia Tehsil office, alleged that Tehsildar Doodh Nath Ra upm, a dalit, called her to his residence on Friday and attempted to molest her but she escaped, police said. The District Magistrate has ordered a probe into the matter.
