14 injured in road accident

DCM van collides with RTC bus carrying 75 passengers on National Highway-9

Mangled Mess: The accident site on NH-9 in Medak district on Wednesday.
Sangareddy: Fourteen passengers were grievously injured in an accident involving a bus and a DCM van on NH-9 at the crossroads near Vijay Electrical Industry on Wednesday.
Some 75 five persons were travelling in the Jukkal - Hyderabad APSRTC bus when the accident occurred. According to the bus driver, Ramulu, who was also severely injured, the van carrying a load of rice hit the bus head-on while trying to escape from a Sumo van coming from the opposite direction.
Though the bus fell into a ditch, the passengers escaped death. Two passengers, who lost their limbs, and another two whose condition was said to be critical were shifted to Gandhi Hospital.
