Tribals’ pepper to be imported

Thiruvananthapuram: Four tonnes of pepper produced by the tribals of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary through organic farming is to be exported to Germany. Forest Minister Benoy Viswom, who is scheduled to inaugurate a function in this regard in Kochi on April 12, said the pepper of international quality was being bought by Ecoland Herbs and Spices of Germany by paying 33 per cent additional price.
