Govt. will also bear a portion of interest component CM inaugurates several village-level projects JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Wednesday announced that the State Government would provide loans at low interest rates to 25 lakh small and marginal farmers after opening bank accounts for them. The Government will also bear a portion of the interest component. Ms. Raje said at Neem Ka Thana in Sikar district on the opening day of her four-day visit to the Shekhawati region that farmers would be given all facilities for irrigation, power supply, fertilisers, agricultural equipment and quality seeds. The Chief Minister affirmed that Rajasthan had made rapid strides during the past four years and successfully completed the power sector reforms which would benefit farmers the most. “As many as 19,000 villages are now getting round-the-clock electricity supply and the work on three power plants is in full swing,” she said. Ms. Raje said Shekhawati was an important region of the desert State and had a rich tradition of people joining the armed forces and laying down their lives while fighting for their motherland. Ms. Raje later visited Khandela, Bhadwadi, Jugalpura, Bamanwas, Palsana and Ranoli villages on her way to Sikar and inaugurated several village-level projects, besides announcing the approval of several schemes for road construction, infrastructure development, upgradation of schools and construction of public asset
