Four mobile shops raided
HYDERABAD: Indian Music Industry (IMI), in collaboration with Abids police, raided four mobile shops and seized computers, CPUs, memory cards and card readers, which were allegedly used for mobile chip piracy. Apart from seizing the accessories, which were worth Rs. 2 lakh, four persons were arrested.
Hyderabad IMI officials received ‘tangible’ information about the piracy and after surveying the locations and confirming the manufacturing and sales of pirated mobile chips, lodged a police complaint, an IMI release said. The shops raided include Voda Mobiles, S.M. Mobiles, Channel Six, and New Strawberry Shoppex.
