Three incidents of chain-snatching

TAMBARAM: Three incidents of chain-snatching were reported from the southern suburbs on Tuesday evening.
In Jeevan Nagar, Adambakkam, Pragasi (42) was returning home when two unidentified youths on a motorcycle intercepted her, snatched a 4-sovereign gold chain and sped away.
In Santhi Nagar of the area, a 72-year-old woman was relieved of her gold chain, weighing about three-and-a-half sovereigns.
In East Tambaram, a 42-year-old woman was relieved of gold chain weighing about four sovereigns when she was returning home from work with her husband on a motorcycle. Police said special teams were investigating.
