Kalwakurthy: TD flays YSR

Correspondent

MAHABUBNAGAR: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy came under scathing attack by Telugu Desam deputy Floor Leader in Assembly Nagam Janardhan Reddy for his volte-face on fourth lift under Kalwakurthy lift irrigation scheme in the district.

Speaking to media persons here on Thursday evening Janardhan Reddy said that Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had betrayed farmers of Kalwakurthy, Jadcharla, Mahabubnagar and Wanaparthy Assembly constituencies. The Chief Minister’s announcement at Jedcharla public meeting was nothing but betraying the people of Mahabubnagar, he said. It can be recalled that on Wednesday the Chief Minister announced that under taking of fourth phase of KLI would examined only after the judgment of newly constituted Krishna waters dispute tribunal which deals with utilisation of flood waters by riparian States.
