American varsities looking for students

Varsity officials to visit Bangalore on April 21

Interviews, spot assessment will

be held


Bangalore: Seven American universities will be in Bangalore to admit students for study in the U.S. The officials of the seven universities are being brought to the city on April 21 by The Indus Foundation Inc., an American organisation liaising with students to help them access the best education and career opportunities, said S.B. Anumolu, president, The Indus Foundation.

Speaking to presspersons here on Thursday, he said that the officials of the accredited American universities would be touring different cities in India during April mainly to enter into educational collaborations with Indian institutions and admit students.

The team of officials will visit New Delhi on April 14, Hyderabad on April 15 and 16, Visakhapatnam on April 17, Vijayawada on April 19, Bangalore on April 21, Kolhapur on April 22 and Mumbai on April 23.

The universities that will be visiting the country include University of California, Oregon Institute of Technology, Long Island University, George Mason University, The College of Saint Rose, Sam Houston State University and Devry University.

“We have organised programmes at all venues. Students and parents are invited to participate in the programme. Interviews and spot assessment for admission for the undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate and Ph.D. programmes will be held,” he said.

He added that Indus Foundation offers a comprehensive package of services to take care of all the processing and application needs of Indian students for study in the U.S. “We assist the students through the entire application process, right from the identification of the programmes of study to the actual enrolment.”
